"Policy-driven reversal of integration, often guided by strategic considerations, will be referred to as geoeconomic fragmentation (GEF) [...]. GEF encompasses reversals along any and all of the different channels whereby countries engage with each other economically, including through trade, capital flows, the movement of workers across national boundaries, international payments, and multilateral cooperation to provide global public goods".
